The University of Virginia, located in scenic Charlottesville, Virginia, is seeking a Director for our Faculty and Employee Assistance Program.
Understands the primary missions of the UVA Health System. Understands and leverages the formal and informal structure of the organization. Represents the organization to the community. Works together to enhance team goals/objectives. Offers constructive criticism and feedback in a positive fashion (e.g., honest, timely). Develops and maintains constructive, cooperative working relationships with peers, co-workers and managers. Conducts strategic planning; anticipates future or strategic trends and assesses implications for the organization/unit. Builds consensus with key stakeholders at various stages of planning and implementing innovations or problem resolution. When faced with risk or uncertainly, is able to assess the situation and move forward in a positive way. Creates and nurtures an environment that reinforces personal accountability and ownership. Focuses efforts on fulfilling customer expectations by seeking insight into customer needs and developing solutions that provide value for the customer. Recommends approaches, products or services which are new and different from those requested by the customer; Actively shares expertise and best customer service practices throughout the organization.
Provides expert consultation and training to work organization leadership seeking to manage the troubled employee, enhance the work environment and improve employee job performance. Services include: organizational consultation to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) accounts, development of program awareness and education activities, clinical intervention and referral, crisis intervention, establishment of community linkages, and case management. Responsible for developing and maintaining EAP accounts.
A minimum of 5 years experience serving the role of an Employee Assistance Consultant and 5 years experience in Healthcare Management is required.
Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) Certification required or eligible within 24 months of hire and license eligible in the Commonwealth of Virginia (LCSW, LPC, CNS or PhD in Clinical Psychology).
